Today's agenda: a 15-person meeting, a 20-person lunch meeting, and a 30-person gathering. Just another day in the life of an Assistant Banqueting Manager. The F&B Manager scheduled your staff, arranged all the supplies, and ensured every detail is in place. Ready, set, go. The day kicks off and you're everywhere you're needed. You help clear plates at the 20-person lunch, quickly train your external team members so they're fully up to speed by the afternoon and find a suitable space for a last-minute meeting that wasn't booked but definitely needed. No problem you've got it all under control. There are no limits to your abilities. In addition, you will be:
- You work closely with both internal and external staff guiding the team and bringing out the best in everyone.
- You have a sharp eye for service quality and take proactive steps whenever there's room for improvement in our performance scores.

What you love most is making sure everything runs smoothly. If it's not plan A, then it's plan B. You think along, offer solutions, or suggest alternatives. "Yes" is your starting point. By now, you know the planning inside and out, allowing you to think ahead and adapt quickly. You support the F&B Manager in coordinating the day, the week, and even the larger events on the calendar. At the same time, you understand how important it is to know your team. You're approachable, enjoy working together, and believe in strengthening those around you. Everything to get the best results. You must have:
- At least 2 years of experience as a banqueting supervisor, events, or catering.
- Fluent written and spoken knowledge of the English language, and preferably the Dutch language as well.
We offer
Of course, we want you to have an optimal experience at Mövenpick. That's why we are offering:
- A monthly gross salary of between €2.829 and €3.588 in accordance with scale 7 of the Collective Labour Agreement for the Dutch hospitality and catering industry.
- A contract of 38 hours per week.
- 25 leave days.
- Extra day off during your birthday month.
- A travel allowance up to €200 per month, on the basis of the actual number of kilometres.
- A night-shift allowance of 20% and a Sunday allowance of 5%.
