Looking for a challenging internship in a growing company with a passion for hospitality and service? Our Front-Office internship might be the perfect fit for you! We're in search of a full-time Front Office intern for our The July BOAT&CO location in Amsterdam.
The July BOAT&CO
With 82 flats decorated by Martin Brudnizki Design Studio, The July BOAT&CO is setting course to become a hotel to which (inter)national guests keep returning. All flats have luxuriously equipped kitchens, living and working areas. The rooms also reflect Amsterdam's Houthaven; some even literally. Like the penthouse with insane views over the IJ River. The rest of our hotel is just as complete. From the atrium to the terrace and from the spa to the restaurant: everywhere The July BOAT&CO combines international design with Amsterdam charm and hospitality. Which we are also proud of: The July BOAT&CO has a first-class sustainability certificate. Nicely in the style of Houthaven, a 100% climate-neutral neighbourhood.
The internship
We'd love to take you through a day in the life of a Front Office intern. Your shift begins with a handover from your colleagues, where you brainstorm creative ways to surprise this week's arriving guests. For instance, a colleague just delivered a birthday cake to a guest, and the Italian newspaper has arrived for our long-term resident; you promptly take it to their room: Grazie!
While you continue preparing for your shift in our reservation system, Mews, the first guests begin checking in. With your extensive knowledge of Amsterdam, you provide guests with precise recommendations on what to do and where to find that delightful bakery. You truly take care of our guests from A to Z. Given that our guests stay with us for extended periods, you also develop a special bond with them.
Do you recognize yourself in the following?
You're a natural host. Anticipating needs is second nature to you
Your vibrant personality is ready to shine
You possess excellent communication skills, both in English and Dutch
You excel independently but also thrive as a team player
Amsterdam is your playground, with the latest hotspots tried and tested
What's in it for you?
In our flat organization, within an informal working atmosphere, your ideas are highly valued.
