What you will do:
- Route preparation: You start your day at the depot, check your packages and plan your route so you can cycle efficiently through Rotterdam and serve customers on time.
- Delivery and customer contact: You deliver packages personally, answer brief questions and create a positive customer experience through your friendly and professional approach.
- Safe and sustainable cycling: You follow traffic rules, stay alert and help create a safer and cleaner Rotterdam by delivering packages by bike.
- Handling packages: You lift and move packages responsibly, carefully check addresses and prevent damage or loss.
- Collaboration with colleagues: You stay in contact with the depot team throughout the day, report any issues and help improve the delivery process step by step.
At DHL, we provide a strong foundation for your career as a bike courier.
- An hourly wage between €15.96 and €20.75, depending on experience
- Weekly or monthly salary payments, whichever works best for you
- A minimum of 20 working hours per week, with shifts between 10:00 and 18:00
- Pension accrual from day one
- Travel allowance of €0.23 per kilometre
- 8% holiday allowance and 10% holiday hours accrued per worked hour
- A flex budget of 6.24% per worked hour, which you can have paid out whenever you like
- You enjoy working outdoors, staying active and helping customers
- You have good knowledge of traffic rules and safety
- You are physically fit and able to lift packages
- You are available at least three days per week, Monday to Friday
- You have basic knowledge of Dutch and/or English for customer communication
- You have an affinity with logistics, route planning and urban cycling
