The parttime financial administrative officer supports the Manager of MFA Finance & Compliance. You will oversee operational finance, HR administration, payroll, and compliance for the Netherlands and Germany offices, while assisting with global Dutch-funded projects. A challenging role for 24 to 32 hours per week through November 2026, with a strong possibility of extension. Immediate start available!
Key Responsibilities
Finance & Accounting
- Manage month-end closures, office budgets, bank transfers, and expense claim reviews.
- Prepare annual financial statements and donor reports for Dutch-funded projects.
- Ensure full compliance with finance manual and statutory rules.
HR & Payroll Administration
- Process monthly payroll for the Netherlands and Germany alongside external providers.
- Oversee end-to-end employee lifecycle admin: onboarding, offboarding, leave, and benefits.
- Maintain HR records, SharePoint pages, organizational charts, and monitor local labor law updates.
Operations & Compliance
- Review procurement financials and support contract management.
- Coordinate internal and external grant/contract audits.
- Provide logistical support for key events in the Netherlands.
Global Support
- Assist the Global Finance team (Geneva/London) with ad-hoc budgeting and accounting tasks.
Reporting & Key Relationships
- Reports to: Manager, Finance & Compliance (Global) & Head of Netherlands.
- Collaborates with: Global HR Team, Geneva Financial Services, and the broader NL team.
You will work for an international organization with 400 colleagues worldwide. You will join a small, close-knit team of 12 professionals at the Dutch headquarters in Utrecht. Here, you will have the opportunity to apply your financial skills to projects that truly matter.
