Customer Service Logistics Officer (Claims)

📍 Born, Netherlands | Fulltime | Day Shift

For Samsung SDS in Born, we are looking for a Customer Service Logistics Officer (Claims). You don’t have to know everything already — we are mainly looking for someone with the right mindset, sense of responsibility and motivation.

• You will start with a 7‑month contract via Olympia
• If performance is strong and the match is right, you will receive a direct contract with Samsung SDS
• The Samsung site in Born is located directly next to the A2 highway and is easily accessible from Sittard, Echt, Roermond, Heerlen, Maastricht, Maaseik, and Aachen

As a Customer Service & Claims Officer, you are the point of contact for customer questions, deviations and claims within the logistics process. You coordinate with multiple stakeholders and ensure cases are handled correctly from start to finish.

Your responsibilities include:

• Handling customer inquiries within transport and warehouse logistics;
• Managing and following up on claims (damage, loss, returns);
• Communicating with customers, carriers, internal departments and insurers;
• Collecting and reviewing claim documentation;
• Preparing and sending liability letters;
• Registering and managing claims in internal systems;
• Verifying and booking compensations;
• Identifying recurring issues and suggesting process improvements.

👉 No two days are the same, you switch frequently between tasks and have real influence on how cases are resolved.

⏰ Working hours

• Fulltime position in day shift;
• Starting time between 07:00 and 09:00;
• You will work in a professional, supportive and team‑oriented environment.

• You are customer‑focused, accurate and reliable;
• You have experience in a logistics environment (transport or warehousing);
• You are available fulltime;
• You communicate professionally in English, both spoken and written.

An advantage but not required:

• An MBO or similar qualification, preferably in Logistics;
• Experience with claims, damage handling or returns.

• You start with a 7‑month secondment contract via Olympia;
  • With good performance, you will receive a direct contract with Samsung SDS;
• Competitive salary between €2,800 and €3,500 gross per month, based on experience;
• Travel allowance of €0.23 per km;
