During Base Maintenance, aircraft undergo major maintenance checks in the hangar. Every day an aircraft is grounded costs the customer money — so tight preparation is worth its weight in gold. As Work Preparer, you're responsible for preparing, coordinating, and supporting maintenance projects. You compile work packages and task cards according to the applicable maintenance documentation, so mechanics can get to work immediately and in a structured way. You make sure parts, tools, documentation, and manpower are available at the right time. You monitor progress, flag bottlenecks, and liaise with the manager, mechanics, and other departments. You also handle the administrative processing and post-calculation of projects.
