As a bike courier at DHL Express in Amsterdam, you spend your day on the road in the city, delivering parcels to customers. You start your shift at the DHL location, where you check in with your team, load your bike with the right parcels and prepare your route. During the day you cycle through different neighbourhoods, deliver on time and stay in contact with customers and colleagues. Your working day is usually between 10:15 and 18:00, so you know exactly where you stand and can plan your study or private life around it.
What you are going to do:
- Deliver parcels by bike to customers across Amsterdam in a safe and efficient way.
- Plan and follow the most practical routes through the city so you stay on schedule.
- Have friendly contact with customers and represent DHL Express in a professional way.
- Check parcels when loading and unloading, so each delivery is complete and correct.
- Contribute to sustainable city logistics by working in a bike-focused delivery network.

- Hourly wage: €15.96 to €20.75 gross per hour
- Weekly salary payments through your employment agency or employer
- Flexible working hours: minimum 24, average 32 hours per week
- Holiday allowance: 8% of your gross salary
- Travel allowance from 5 km (one way)
You are a reliable, city-loving rider who enjoys combining physical work with friendly customer contact in a predictable daytime schedule.
- You are comfortable cycling daily through busy Amsterdam streets.
- You have solid knowledge of Dutch traffic rules and safety.
- You are physically fit and can lift packages easily.
- You are available at least three fixed weekdays, including Friday.
- You have good command of Dutch or English for customer contact.
