Summer job packer

Over het werk

You will be working on machines at a large manufacturer of plastic packaging. You will work in a two-shift system and the working hours are from 6:00 to 14:30 and from 14:30 to 23:00. During your training period, you will be assigned a buddy to whom you can ask anything. You will first work at one machine and once you have been trained, you will be able to easily handle multiple machines at the same time. Your training buddy has been employed for a while and can provide excellent guidance during the first period.

The machine makes all kinds of plastic containers. When they reach the end of the line, you stack the containers and check the quality. If there are no dents or tears, you can pack them. If there are any irregularities in the containers, you report this, because the machine may need to be adjusted differently. You pack the containers in a cardboard box and ensure that they are placed on a pallet. When you are taking a break, you communicate this to your colleagues. They can then keep an eye on your machine.

There are also opportunities for growth within this company. For example, you can think of a plus function, where you get more tasks and responsibilities. You can also grow into an operator function.
