At your new employer, you'll be working on impressive steel structures every day. From large components for industrial buildings to bespoke structures: no two days are the same!
You'll start your day by looking at a technical drawing to see which structure you'll be assembling. You'll gather the correct components and get to work. You'll ensure everything is in the right place, adjust components to fit and join them together. It's important that you work with precision, as your work forms the basis for a sturdy and reliable steel structure.
As well as assembling structures, you'll also carry out welding work. If something isn't quite right or a component needs adjusting, you'll help come up with a solution and tackle the issue yourself. You'll work with various machines and tools, ensuring everything is done safely and tidily.
You'll be given a great deal of independence, but you'll never be on your own. Together with your colleagues, you'll ensure that every structure is completed on time and in accordance with the drawings.

In concrete terms: 45% assembling structures and components, 15% adapting components to fit, 15% welding structures, 15% carrying out repairs, 5% maintaining tools and 5% liaising with the foreman.
Wat breng je mee?
Are you someone who enjoys working with your hands and takes pride in what you make? Then you'll be a great fit for your new employer! You have technical insight, know how to read a drawing and enjoy assembling a complete steel structure from individual components. You work with precision, but also like to get stuck in.
What do we expect from you?
- You hold a MIG/MAG welding certificate at level 2 or above (from 3 there are even more challenging fun projects);
- You have experience in welding and assembling steel structures;
- You can read and understand technical drawings independently;
- You are familiar with various joining and welding techniques;
- You are confident using machinery and tools;
- You have an affinity for steel structures and metalworking;
- An overhead crane certificate would be an advantage;
- You speak Dutch or English;
- You work accurately, independently and have an eye for quality;
- You are solution-oriented and help your colleagues where necessary.
You don't need to be perfect at everything just yet. The most important thing is that you're a hands-on person, enjoy working with steel and take pleasure in creating beautiful structures.
