English Speaking - Repair Mechanic

Wat je gaat doen As a Repair Mechanic, you’ll assess damage, diagnose technical problems and carry out repairs and maintenance. Because every repair is different, your work is varied and you’ll regularly have to find the right technical solution.

Your responsibilities include:

• Assess damage and defects: inspect trailers, determine what needs to be repaired and create a suitable plan of action;
• Disassemble trailers: partially or fully disassemble trailers or components to prepare them for repair or revision;
• Replace and repair parts: replace defective or worn components and restore systems to proper working order;
• Perform maintenance: carry out periodic maintenance and check components such as brakes, lighting and fluids;
• Diagnose and solve faults: analyse and resolve hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical and mechanical problems;
• Work safely: make sure repairs are carried out safely and according to the applicable guidelines;
• You’ll work independently on technical challenges while also being able to rely on the knowledge and experience of your colleagues.

• An MBO diploma in Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering or a similar technical field;
• Experience with hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical systems;
• A hands-on mentality and an affinity for mechanical work;
• Willingness to learn welding, or previous welding experience;
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to diagnose technical problems;
• A willingness to learn and develop your technical skills;
• Sufficient English language skills to communicate effectively with colleagues.
