Service Mechanic without Experience

Do you like working with your hands, being on the road and delivering neat work at customers’ homes together with a close-knit team?

As Service Monteur Dakvenster At Work, you start your day in Breukelen, load your van with the right materials and drive together with one or two colleagues to private customers across the Netherlands. On site you work mainly from the attic: you measure, saw the opening, adjust the roof construction where needed and finish everything watertight and tidy according to VELUX and Roto guidelines. You cover the workspace, clean up after the job and show the customer how everything works. Your days vary from replacing a single roof window to helping with a complete attic makeover. In between jobs you keep your van and tools in order and stay in close contact with the office and your fellow mechanics.

What you will do:

• Install roof windows, light domes and light streets at private customers according to VELUX and Roto guidelines.
• Measure, mark and make the roof opening, including adjusting beams where needed.
• Support attic conversions and occasionally place dormers together with a crane and your colleagues.
• Protect the customer’s home, work neatly, clean up afterwards and explain how the new roof window works.
• Keep your van, materials and tools in good condition and work safely with the right equipment every day.

• Gross monthly salary €2,500–€4,000, based on experience
• Contract for 32–40 hours per week
• Temporary contract with clear path to permanent
• Travel allowance, training, tools and safety gear included

You enjoy hands-on installation work, like tidy results and feel at ease with customers in their homes.

• Available 32–40 hours, between 07:00–17:00
• Start daily from Breukelen, work across the Netherlands
• MBO 2 work and thinking level required (secondary vocational education)
• Neat, customer-friendly and clear in communication
• No fear of heights, physically fit, enjoy active work
• Driving licence B or willing to obtain it

Our company in Breukelen specializes in installing roof windows, skylights, light streets and dormers according to VELUX principles and Roto guidelines. You work in a small, close-knit and international team with short lines, where no one makes things difficult and working neatly is important.
