What you'll be doing
It is your responsibility to provide day to day procurement support to all functions across the BP Refinery. You form a primary connection between different stakeholders, and ensure that business requirements for goods and services are fulfilled in a timely, compliant and commercially effective manner. Your key responsibilities can be summed up using the following six categories:
- Operational Procurement Support - You:
- Support business users in defining procurement requirements and preparing purchasing requests
- Ensure business needs are addressed efficiently whilst maintaining compliance with procurement policies and controls
- Promote the use of existing contracts, framework agreements and preferred suppliers where applicable
- Requisition Management - You:
- Conduct daily reviews of incoming requisitions, and verify scope descriptions, supplier information, budgeting references and approval requirements
- Route requisitions to the Business Service Centre or appropriate procurement teams where applicable
- Support stakeholders in resolving workflow issues, rejected requests and system related exceptions
- Stakeholder Management - You:
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with Operations, Maintenance and support functions, and ensure clear communication between all stakeholders
- Provide guidance on procurement processes, procurement authorities, sourcing requirements and contractual obligations
- Liaise with Category Management, Sourcing and Contract Management teams to secure specialist support where required
- Supplier and Vendor Data Management - You:
- Support the creation, maintenance and updating of supplier records within procurement systems
- Ensure vendor master data remains accurate, complete and compliant with BP requirements
- Identify and escalate vendor data issues to the appropriate support teams for resolution
- Governance, Compliance and Risk Management - You:
- Operate in accordance with BP Procurement Policy, Procurement Authorities and Procure to Pay requirements
- Ensure procurement activities are executed within approved contracts, supplier frameworks and delegated authorities
- Identify and escalate compliance risks, governance concerns and process deviations as appropriate
- Contract and Supplier Support - You:
- Provide operational support for contract administration and supplier related issues
- Assist in monitoring supplier performance, service delivery concerns and commercial compliance
- Support contract lifecycle activities, including contract data maintenance and documentation management
