At 08:00, you start the day together with your colleagues in the workshop. While the first fabrics are prepared, you make sure the machines are set correctly and production runs smoothly. You work on made-to-measure curtains and sheers where precision and quality are important. Your work has a direct impact on the final product.
Your tasks include:
- Operating blind stitch machines and industrial sewing machines
- Setting up and operating the panel and strip machine
- Pleating and manufacturing curtains
- Processing blackout fabrics and sheer materials
- Checking quality and completing final finishing work
The work takes place at Gordijnen Atelier De Nijvere Bij, a family-owned business with a long-standing history. Since 1969, the company has specialised in manufacturing:
- Curtains and sheers
- Tiebacks and decorative cushions
- Roman blinds
- Various other textile-related products
