Stayokay Vondelpark & Stadsdoelen is the largest hostel within Stayokay and has recently been fully renovated, including a brand?'new restaurant, The 5th, featuring an open kitchen and great food. In The 5th, also known as our living space, guests can enjoy a meal, have drinks, or do some flexible working. Do you have experience in Front Office and/or security and are you ready for a new challenge? Then we're looking for you! For Stayokay Amsterdam Vondelpark & Stadsdoelen, we are looking for a Night Receptionist.
You will...
- be the first point of contact for guests during the night
- supervise order and safety in and around the hostel
- carry out control rounds inside and outside the hostel and monitor security cameras
- welcome guests and handle check-ins and check-outs when needed
- take initiative and act appropriately in case of incidents, following established protocols
- perform small administrative tasks and write nightly reports
- help keep the hostel clean and tidy by doing rounds indoors and outdoors
- work up to 4 nights per week
You have...
- a strong sense of responsibility and remain calm under pressure
- a service?'oriented and friendly attitude towards guests
- a First Aid (BHV) and Social Hygiene certificate (a plus, but not required)
- no difficulty communicating in Dutch and English
- preferably experience in security or hospitality (not required)
- the ability to work independently and make decisions
- no problem working alone at night, mainly during weekdays and weekends - in other words, you're a true night owl
- an open mind, a strong drive, and you value sustainability
