We are looking for a CAE Specialist for Chassis Frame and Components.

De functie

As a CAE Specialist you will play a crucial role in the development activities of the Chassis department. You will work in a dedicated team of simulation experts supporting across all vehicle projects.A successful applicant will be strong in the following:Supporting and advising design engineers (within DAF and external parties) to validate and optimize chassis frames and components interfacing with the chassis frames using the available simulation software.Structured way of working with ability to compile clear reports to archive results.Presenting of above report content to various stakeholders for decision making.The drive to develop and optimize methods and procedures to achieve more accurate simulation results.Your technical knowledge and analysis skills are very important for the continuous improvement of DAF vehicles. You work in close cooperation with Testing and Design engineers as well as other CAE specialists (within DAF and external parties).

Jouw profiel

Profound knowledge of Abaqus, Hyperworks and Matlab. (linear and nonlinear).Knowledge of FE-safe and/or FEMFAT, as well as Python programming language is preferable.Experience in vehicle chassis simulation, dynamics and durability/fatigue (preferably within the commercial vehicle segment).Strong reporting and presentation skills.Pro-active attitude and able to identify improvements within design constraints (pragmatic approach).Strong character and enthusiastic performer with a very flexible attitude.Education: Master degree in Mechanical Engineering. Atleast 1-2 years working experience with above mentioned tools.Strong command of English language (verbally and in writing). Preferably also in Dutch.
