Head Of Procurement

Result-driven people manager in Procurement with passion for developing strategic, operational as well as project buyers towards perfect collaboration and professionalism.

De functie

In this role you will lead Procurement and develop a world class Procurement function in line with GEA Global Procurement guidelines and GEA Food Application Solutions Operations Strategy leading to excellent delivery performance, lowest integral cost levels, best quality and optimal working capital.

• You develop and deploy a procurement strategy which includes short-, mid- and long-term goals towards the most resilient and cost-effective supply chain
• Building and developing procurement to a high performing team, driving continuous improvements and learning resulting in a best-in-class organization
• Foster collaboration with the team in Procurement as well as across all Food Application Solutions and relevant GEA functions
• Drive towards cost savings, modularization, early Procurement and supplier involvement, supplier and leadtime reductions
• Drive creation and improvement of best practice based processes including administrative processes and master data management, leading towards significant efficiencies and lower conversion cost versus spend
• Encourages innovative/out of the box initiatives using new smart technologies like digi, automation, robotization, 3D printing etc.
• Ensure that adequate contracts are negotiated, concluded and maintained
• You also set challenging targets and manage towards results
• Reporting to VP Operations and functional performance reporting into Head of Procurement FHT Division
• Potential to further develop (add-on role) to manage strategic procurement across multiple sites in the newly formed Business Unit Food Applications Solutions

Jouw profiel

• Bachelor or master's degree in industrial engineering, Procurement or Supply Chain
• 10 years relevant experience with proven track record in Strategic Purchasing and Supply Chain Management in a comparable and complex ETO/CTO high mix/low volume industry and a proven ability to be effective in a multinational/matrix organisation
• Continuous Improvement mindset in balance with supply chain and relationship management
• Result-driven people manager in Procurement with passion for developing strategic, operational as well as project buyers towards perfect collaboration and professionalism
• Strong analytical capabilities and proficiency in performance (KPI/Business Intelligence) reporting
• Adapts well to changes in assignments and priorities, ability to work in volatile situations and still deliver results
• Self driven, proactive, authentic, persuasive, perseverance, conviction and well-argued reasoning
• Experience with best cost country sourcing is a pre
• Awareness for diversity and cultural differences
• Fluent in English and Dutch
