De functie

As an integral part of the physical distribution department, you are responsible for Inbound and inventory process management for multiple Vanderlande warehouses.

Currently we have three warehouse locations in Veghel, one in Erp and one external warehouse. At some of these locations goods will be received from our factories as well as from external suppliers.

All deliveries need to be checked (occasionally reworked), stored, consolidated and finally shipped to destinations all around the world.

Your specific scope is the complete inbound flow until goods are stored, as well as the execution and management of the storage strategy for all warehouses.

You will lead two supervisors, who are responsible for the daily warehouse operations and you are closely working together with the Team Leader Stock to Dock (Outbound).

You will challenge the supervisors to achieve the best possible results by working in a structured way according to applicable procedures and department processes, and setting the right priorities. Safety, Quality, on time & complete and costs are important factors.

In addition, you always strive for continuous improvement of the whole department.

For that purpose you initiate, lead and execute improvement projects that help realizing the distribution centers of the future. This in close cooperation with the Group Leader Operations Support, Analytics & Continuous Improvement.

• Besides this you are part of the EU Physical Distribution management team and together with the management team you are responsible for realizing the EU Physical Distribution strategies.

Your responsibilities

• Manage warehouse operations for inbound & stock, including budget · Managing Inbound & Stock metrics, such as stock accuracy
• Maintenance of relevant Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
• Strategy planning, such as DC strategy · Define, maintain and improve Layout of the warehouses / according 5S guidelines to enhance warehouse utilization (fill rate)
• Manage department budgeting: Warehouse running costs · Stock optimal (Leadtime, packaging and quality) available for project

• Managing deadlines, milestones of the improvement projects.
• No nine to five mentality - knowing when your presence is a plus for the morale of the team.
• The floor is managed by supervisors, but floor presence (visibility) is key in all our positions.

Jouw profiel

• Experience in management of warehouse operations
• Minimum of 5 years in a similar position leading a team by steer to innovate, improve and bring this with enthusiasm.
• Knowledge on warehouse management processes and excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office package and WMS systems
• Analytical Skills. Able to develop a strategy and put this into practice, including the change management side
• Experience with Lean principles, 5S, TPS, VSM, etc.
• Having at least a bachelor's degree in logistics.
• Project executions and results drive
• Fluent in both Dutch and English oral and written, other languages would be an advantage
