Accounting manager

Responsible for the management of the financial administration of several Benelux production and warehouse locations within a worldwide organization. Is that the next step in your career as a full-time accounting manager in Moerdijk

Your job as an accounting manager?

In your role as accounting manager you coordinate the financial closings of the production location in Hengelo and warehouse and service locations in Belgium and France. You are stationed in Moerdijk. You ensure that the financial data is available in time for the controller and business managers. You prepare journal entries and book journal entries. You maintain the company accounts and keep the accounts of all business transactions and assets. You also manage various sub-administration. You ensure the harmonization and consolidation of results in the planning system. You perform monthly budget variance analyzes. Of course you ensure administrative integrity and accuracy. You monitor and analyze this continuously. As an accounting manager, you have contact with the Benelux Controller, Production Managers, Business Unit Manager Finance, the Corporate Finance Department and the internal audit team.

As an accounting manager you are part of the financial team in which everyone has their own responsibilities. Your direct manager is the Benelux controller. With 2 financial controllers you work daily in the finance department. During the lunch break you eat your sandwich in the canteen with your colleagues. If you prefer to eat at your desk and continue working, you are of course completely free to do so. The Moerdijk location has an enthusiastic staff association that organizes activities such as visits to sportingevents, theater and concert visits several times a year.

The ideal candidate?

You have a completed HBO degree in Finance & Control (BE or AC) and you master the English language in speech and writing. Given the complexity of the organization, experience within a comparable position in an international production environment is an advantage. You are familiar with MS Office, SAP, Oracle, EDI and Elvy, US GAAP and Sarbanes-Okley standards. You must be able to work accurately, have numerical insight and strong analytical skills. You have good communication skills. Being able to plan and organize is extremely important. Given the accessibility of the work location, you need to have your own transport.
