Russian + Polish Credit Controller

For the Finance department of Elsevier we are looking for a Credit Controller (36 hours) who speaks a combination of (near) native Russian and has good skills in English. If you speak Polish as well, that is considered a big plus!

The Credit Control Department is responsible for the final part of the O2C (Order to Cash) process. It is the role of this Department to ensure that the aging balance remains as current as possible and any overdue balances are identified and addressed within the terms of the Global Credit Policy. The Credit Risks represented to Elsevier by its customers is also determined by this Department and appropriate controls and procedures are developed to mitigate any losses through bad debt.

 

Tasks

As a Credit Controller at Elsevier you are responsible for the collecting debts process of several customers. With the support of your colleagues you ensure that the payments are made within the terms of the agreement of sale. You also determine requests to extend terms of payment with the support of the Senior Credit Controller in line with the Global Credit Policy and Standard Operating Procedures.

You will contact customers about invoices and communicate all disputes raised by the customer to the appropriate departments and ensure that a timely resolution is found. Escalate any unresolved issues as per the Global Credit Policy.

 

The offer

We offer a salary ranging from  €2200,- until €2600,- per month  based on 36hrs per week depending on experience. You will have a first contract via Randstad. You will be working in an international environment next to Amsterdam Sloterdijk station. Occasionnal business travels could be expected.

 

The ideal candidate
- You speak excellent Russian AND Polish, with a high level of English (used moslty for internal communications)
- Bachelor degree or higher, within the field of finance, accounting, business administration, etc.
- Minimum of 3 years of working experience in Credit control, finance, banking, accounting, or within a similar role.
- Strong Administrative skills
- Flexible, capable to work under high pressure and persistent
- Well structured, accurate, able to administrate and monitor entire credit control process
- You already live in the Netherlands,  have your BSN and are legally allowed to work without any sponsorship from a company.
