Who are we looking for / What will you be doing?
Join our fantastic Team as our new Executive Housekeeper. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone wishing to play an integral part in working in a newly rebranded hotel, helping to shape this hotel into a destination of choice for both business and leisure travelers.

As an Executive Housekeeper, you are responsible for overseeing Housekeeping operations. An Executive Housekeeper is also in control of all areas of Housekeeping, including laundry, guest rooms, public areas and parts of the back of house.

This position includes the following main tasks:

  • Oversee Housekeeping operations

  • Oversee Laundry operations

  • Evaluate Guest satisfaction levels and monitor trends with a focus on continuous improvement

  • Operate within departmental budgets through effective stock and cost controls and well managed schedules

  • Ensure team members have an up-to-date knowledge of all room categories and amenities

  • Maintain good communication and work relationships in all hotel areas and with external customers and suppliers - Ensure staffing levels cover business demands

  • Recruit, manage, train and develop the Housekeeping/Laundry team

  • End responsibility for VIP and Show rooms.

  • Monitor guest complaints and carry out corrective measures.

  • Taking performance development reviews and one to one's together with other supervisors of the housekeeping department.

  • Identification of the necessary training measures.

  • Give feedback about performance of the team members of outside companies.

  • Secure an appropriate standard for clothing, hygiene, uniform, conduct and management of the Housekeeping personnel.

  • Hold regular departmental meetings.

  • Routine inspections in all Housekeeping areas.

  • Regular inspections in the public areas.

  • Follow- up on sick leave, following ARBO regulations.

  • Monitor and control inventories of work equipment, uniforms, etc.

  • Monitor and control all Housekeeping invoices

  • Involvement in the strategic planning and target setting for the hotel.

  • Ensure the planning is in line with the occupancy.

  • Ensure hours & rooms registrations are correct and handled on time.

To successfully fulfil this position, we are looking for an organized, pro-active and involved team leader who can support our Housekeeping Team in ensuring excellent cleanliness. Therefore, we are looking for the following attitude and skills:


  • A successful track record of managing a large international team

  • Housekeeping experience in the hotel/leisure/retail sector in a managerial capacity

  • High level of commercial awareness and cost control capabilities

  • Excellent leadership and communication skills

  • Committed to delivering high levels of customer service

  • Ability to work under pressure

  • High level of IT proficiency

  • Excellent grooming standards

  • Flexibility to respond to a range of different work situations

  • Willingness to develop team members and self

  • Strong organizational, budget management, and problem solving skills

  • Strong communication skills

  • A passion for delivering exceptional levels of guest service

  • Speak/write/read English fluently
