As Director of IT and Security, your principal responsibility is to guide your team towards reaching its full potential through mentorship and coaching. You'll uphold high-quality standards while fostering the personal and professional growth of your team members. Close collaboration with peers throughout the organization in areas such as software development, human resources, customer success, will be essential to ensure the team's success in delivering value to our customers. Your aim is to empower every team member to achieve their best work.

Responsibilities

• Lead and inspire a global team of skilled engineers and professionals responsible for providing the tools that the employees need to do their job on one hand and keeping the company's products and infrastructure secure on the other.
• Define the technical vision and roadmap for the company's IT and Security globally, aligning IT services provided with business requirements of all departments and the overall company strategy.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to shape IT and security policies and requirements, and ensure the successful delivery of functional and secure solutions.
• Champion the design and implementation of automation and security tools.
• Oversee the company's entire IT and security policy, as it pertains to the information technology in use by The company, as well as the security aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), ensuring high standards of code quality, security, and efficiency in the development process.
• Maintain the company's security audits and certifications (including ISO 27001, SOC 2 Type 2, PCI-DSS)
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the team, introducing innovative solutions to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
• Mentor and guide team members, nurturing their professional growth and fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
• Stay at the forefront of industry trends, cloud technologies, observability practices, and security measures, incorporating these insights into the strategic direction and development of The company IT.
• Manage vendor relationships and spending to make every euro count.
• This position reports to the CISO.

Jouw profiel

• Proven experience in a leadership role for a software company, leading and collaborating with engineering and support teams to deliver high-performance, scalable, and secure solutions for cloud-based services.
• Proven success in shaping and executing the technical vision for complex projects, particularly in the Enterprise Software as a Service domain.
• Experience with IT management frameworks such as ITIL and COBIT and compliance frameworks such as SOC2, ISO 27001 and PCI DSS.
• Effective communication and collaboration with cross-functional teams, translating technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, with a strong emphasis on hands-on engineering experience.
• Background in security engineering, including security review, pentesting, application development, and compliance programs is a plus.
